Meet Jonathan & Kate
Meet the makers and dreamers behind Modern Makerie. Kate has always been a creator, whether at the sewing machine, in the kitchen or wherever an idea takes her. Jonathan is the anchor that helps bring her creative mind to a business that over the last 6 years has supported their family.
the tiny shop
The MM shop started in the top floor of our home, where it grew over the first five years. In late 2021, we began to look for a new place for our family business to expand. Until we find it, our shop's temporary home is in the basement of Jonathan's mother's home.
