From Bag Maker to Pattern Designer
When I first started Modern Makerie, I dabbled in fabric design alongside bag-making—just for the joy of it.
But as the business grew, I got swept up in production and let that creative side sit quietly for a while.
In 2025, I made a conscious pivot. I wanted to build a business that felt life-giving again, so I returned to what I’ve always loved: drawing, painting, and creating original patterns.
This year marks the first time I’ve shared those designs outside of Modern Makerie—now available on Spoonflower.com as fabric, wallpaper, bedding, and more.
